About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own day-to-day accounting operations, including processing and posting all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Review and approve AP/AR entries for accuracy and completeness before management review
Prepare and post month-end close journal entries, including accruals and partner reconciliations
Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations and support variance and flux analysis
Support the monthly close process through timely approvals, accurate documentation, and clean financial data
Assist with audit preparation by maintaining organized records and responding to auditor requests
Partner with the Senior Accountant and broader Finance team to follow workflows, incorporate feedback, and improve processes
Support transition of accounting functions from an outside accounting firm in-house and help build scalable internal accounting operations

Requirements

What you’ll need

A minimum of 3+ years of general accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Proven experience in a variety of core accounting principles, journal entries, and month-end close processes
Experience in a private company environment is required, or transitioned from public to private accounting for at least one year
Proactive and self-driven with a strong sense of initiative and responsibility
High attention to detail, capacity to get work done, and organizational skills
