About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze learners’ eligibility for Title IV, military, and other funding programs
- Provide financial aid estimates and packaging, clearly communicating program obligations and financial responsibility
- Assist learners, families, and relevant parties with funding options and answer funding questions
- Review learner documents for eligibility, completeness, accuracy, and compliance
- Make determinations on special circumstances and escalate files for professional judgment decisions
- Update the Master Cohort List daily with incoming enrollment activities
- Update and maintain learner records in the Student Information System (SIS)
- Complete verification processes, including reviewing documents, matching data to ISIR, resolving conflicting information, and making ISIR corrections
- Resolve ISIR rejections, C-codes, and conflicting information in accordance with Title IV requirements
- Work with COD and NSLDS
- Collaborate with other functions to provide high-quality learner service
- Participate in biweekly Learner Funding meetings, one-to-ones, coaching meetings, trainings, and team meetings
- Attend meetings and conferences to enhance knowledge of financial aid policies, practices, and procedures
- Use COD, NSLDS, and CPS to ensure compliance with institutional and federal regulations
- Handle confidential and sensitive information discreetly
- Participate in other functional projects as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Minimum of two years of professional experience, preferably in an institution of higher learning or student funding
- Demonstrated knowledge of Federal Student Aid and/or military funding
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint
