About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Bring in or introduce new customers to Nilfisk and key dealer partners.
  • Work with Regional Managers in the assigned geography under the direction of the Regional Director.
  • Make sales calls to end-users that are not currently buying from Nilfisk.
  • Support dealers with equipment demonstrations.
  • Support Regional Managers at open houses and trade shows.
  • Sell directly to some end-users that are not buying through a Nilfisk dealer.
  • Report a monthly itinerary to the Regional Director.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings with the Regional Director to review Salesforce.com details, customer portfolio activities, customer portfolio, and pipeline activity.
  • Report significant regional activity, including product performance, competitive intelligence, and dealer activity, to the Regional Director.
  • Attend and participate in required trade shows, seminars and open houses.
  • Participate in NilfiskU.
  • Call on assigned prioritized end-users at least once every 90 days.
  • Schedule introduction meetings.
  • Engage end-customers to develop relationships and understand their needs.
  • Document all activity in Salesforce.com.
  • Conduct regular machine demonstrations for qualified prospects.
  • Manage the dealer database, including existing and competitive customer information.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 0-2+ years of Sales Experience or internship
  • Exceptional prioritization, time management and planning ability
  • Strategic agility and comfort with ambiguity
  • Effective and professional communication with internal and external business partners
  • Passion for learning both technical, financial/business acumen and customer needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Commitment to full utilization of SFDC
