About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with dealers, dealer sales forces, direct accounts, and end users
  • Achieve annual sales and performance goals
  • Report to and work with the Regional Sales Director to accomplish the region’s annual business plan
  • Report monthly itineraries and significant regional activity to the Regional Sales Director
  • Monitor product performance, competitive intelligence, dealer activity, sales strategy, new product development, dealer issues, and profile updates
  • Perform quarterly business reviews with dealers and provide weekly sales forecasts
  • Resolve sales, product service, equipment-related, and dealer issues
  • Travel within the South Carolina and Georgia sales region to maintain, develop, and grow customer business
  • Direct, participate in developing, motivating, and training the dealer sales force to sell Nilfisk products
  • Call on and develop existing and prospective dealers and end users
  • Maintain dealer prospect lists and coordinate sales calls for new business
  • Maintain customer databases
  • Maintain a list of major end users in the region
  • Integrate daily sales activities into Microsoft Outlook
  • Make daily sales calls on key end users to drive project starts and increase market share
  • Track and manage new project starts through the sales pipeline in Salesforce
  • Perform building surveys and product demonstrations
  • Use sales tools and resources to support successful project completion
  • Displace competitive machine lines within Nilfisk dealerships and develop single-source dealer relationships
  • Communicate product information to dealers
  • Coordinate sales efforts with Strategic Account Managers
  • Perform field tests supporting product management teams
  • Build long-lasting, profitable relationships with dealer partners

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or equivalent education
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience in the sanitary supply industry or a related industry
  • Experience and accomplishments in dealer channel management and end-user sales/account management
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
  • Strong work ethic and initiative in problem solving and implementing corrective action plans
  • Business maturity and acumen
  • Strong selling skills and end-user account management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel pivot tables, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, and Salesforce
  • Effective time and territory management skills
  • Problem-solving skills, gap analysis, action plan development, and implementation
  • Willingness to travel overnight as required
  • Willingness and ability to transport company products for demonstrations
  • Ability to conduct product seminars and presentations
  • Ability to pass a physical including lifting, prolonged standing, and driving for safe periods of time
