About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage a portfolio of MSP and internal IT accounts serving .gov agencies and government contractors
- Drive account growth and retention
- Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities for RMM, endpoint management, cybersecurity, and automation solutions
- Advise federal IT leaders and government contractors on FedRAMP authorization, CMMC 2.0, federal budget cycles, and procurement processes
- Understand federal IT challenges including legacy system modernization and cybersecurity mandates
- Build long-term relationships with federal IT teams and procurement officials
- Keep customers informed about best practices, new features, and compliance updates
- Work with legal, finance, and channel teams on federal procurement, reseller and distributor agreements, and government buying vehicles
- Use Salesforce to track opportunities, forecast revenue, and manage customer engagement
- Monitor federal IT trends, compliance mandates, and FedRAMP/CMMC developments
- Serve as an internal subject matter expert on FedRAMP-related questions and partner calls
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven track record managing IT accounts or selling IT solutions to federal agencies, DoD contractors, or MSPs serving .gov clients
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes, federal budget cycles, and compliance requirements
- Experience expanding accounts in federal or government contractor markets
- Experience identifying upsell/cross-sell opportunities
- Experience helping organizations modernize IT operations
- Ability to navigate FedRAMP authorization and CMMC 2.0 requirements
- Ability to engage federal IT leaders, government procurement officials, and contractor executives
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, CMMC 2.0, NIST 800-171, CAGE Code, SAM.gov UIN, and ATO processes is a strong plus
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Public Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Salesforce and CRM best practices
