About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and build the API layer powering the product's data experience using REST and/or GraphQL endpoints
Develop Java backend services exposing data-driven insights and scoring to the product surface
Build and maintain React-based UI components for dashboards and workflows
Participate in architecture and design reviews as the product progresses from early-stage to general availability
Troubleshoot production issues across the technical stack using logs, metrics, and traces
Participate in code reviews
Document processes thoroughly
Contribute to cross-team initiatives as the team scales
Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
10+ years of experience in Java software development for product applications, or equivalent
2+ years of experience with React for front-end development
4+ years of experience working with highly scalable software systems
Experience leveraging AI tooling to accelerate software development
Working knowledge of OOP design principles
Expertise in scaling data structures and object-oriented design
Knowledge of API best practices and REST service development
Comfortable writing and troubleshooting SQL
Relational database design and development experience
Expert knowledge of quality testing practices, including front-end testing frameworks
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Kotlin experience is a plus but not required
GraphQL or gRPC is a plus
Exposure to distributed/streaming data concepts is a plus, not a requirement
Must reside in an eligible U.S. state
Position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
