Key responsibilities & impact

Contribute to NinjaOne's IT Operations product suite
Design and implement scalable new solutions and product improvements
Develop high-quality, scalable software applications
Create and deliver mission-critical services for administering, protecting, and maintaining endpoints and servers
Design and develop high-availability mission-critical software systems supporting worldwide operations
Develop software using Java and Kotlin
Commit code and ship products as a trusted engineer
Implement design patterns and solve enterprise-level software challenges
Build software operating across millions of endpoints
Maintain quality-first standards and perform other duties as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Located in the USA and residing in one of the eligible states: CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, KS, MA, ME, NC, NJ, NY, OR, OH, TN, TX, VA, or WA
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
10+ years of experience in Java software development for product applications or equivalent
4+ years of experience working with highly scalable software systems
Solid expertise in Kotlin
Experience working on systems at scale and finding solutions to scale systems
Working knowledge of OOP design principles
Expertise in scaling data structures and object-oriented design
Knowledge of API best practices and REST service development using Jersey or Spring
Relational database design and development experience
Experience with client- and server-side development for responsive messaging
Caching systems expertise; Redis experience is advantageous
Expert knowledge of quality testing practices
Not eligible for visa sponsorship
Onsite interviews may be required
Qualified candidates must reside outside Chicago city limits or be willing to self-relocate if based near Chicago
