About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Develop large-scale software applications using Java and Kotlin
Contribute to the Patching team's platform for discovering, packaging, and deploying OS and third-party software patches
Build and scale patch management software serving millions of endpoints
Maintain quality-first standards and apply quality testing practices
Commit code and ship products
Implement design patterns and solve enterprise-level software challenges
Work closely with AI workflow, server, platform, product design, and product owner teams
Occasionally contribute to UI components for patching workflows and dashboards
Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience
10+ years of experience in Java software development for product applications, or equivalent
5+ years of experience working with highly scalable software systems
Experience working on systems at scale and finding solutions to scale systems
Working knowledge of OOP design principles
Expertise in scaling data structures and object-oriented design
Knowledge of API best practices and REST service development using Jersey or Spring
Relational database design and development experience
Experience creating both client- and server-side development for responsive messaging
Caching systems expertise; Redis experience is advantageous
Expert knowledge of quality testing practices
React and/or Angular experience is nice to have
Must reside in an eligible U.S. state
