About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Process import and export bookings from the pricing team, adding each shipment to the transport management system (TMS)
- Help plan and build export groupage trailers, coordinating trailer bookings and loading requirements
- Provide operational cover for full truckload and less-than-truckload (FTL/LTL) movements
- Prepare export customs entries, T1 documents and other trailer paperwork
- Coordinate the exchange of export documents with groupage drivers
- Work with the customs team to support import clearances
- Stay in close contact with clients and suppliers, sharing updates and dealing with queries proactively
- Work with the warehouse team to resolve discrepancies, damage and trailer requirements
- Help with invoicing and maintain accurate shipment records
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in road freight operations, ideally covering import and export movements
- A good understanding of groupage and export documentation, with experience in customs or T1 documentation
- Clear, confident communication with customers, suppliers, colleagues and drivers
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and good attention to detail
- Confidence using a TMS and other day-to-day computer systems
