About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop intelligent insights from quantitative and qualitative data
  • Test basic hypotheses, conduct exploratory analysis, and identify trends supporting business strategies and goals
  • Translate results and findings into clear, concise management presentations and develop corrective action plans
  • Develop and enhance department KPI dashboards, analytics, and reports to monitor performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business teams and Data Engineers to understand data meaning, business rules, and structure
  • Ensure data alignment and consistency across the end-to-end journey
  • Partner with the department Business Process Unit to identify, plan, and prioritize source-system improvements supporting data analytics
  • Expand understanding of business processes and competitive environments
  • Scan the market for trends affecting markets, customers, products, services, and operational processes
  • Comply with Data Governance standards for data definition, quality, accuracy, completeness, availability, and security

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BS from a 4-year accredited college/university in a related field (Statistics, Mathematics, Business Intelligence, Finance, etc.) or equivalent experience
  • Basic analytical aptitude with ability to turn raw data into presentations containing insights and visualizations
  • Technical knowledge and ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to read and understand data models
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • 1+ years writing queries (T-SQL)
  • 1+ years using business intelligence tools (Power BI, SSRS, SAS, Excel)
  • Regular and predictable onsite attendance is required
  • Ability to work 3 days in the West Trenton office
