About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Mobilize and motivate producers in person and online
- Recognize community leaders and provide producers with tools to help each other
- Support local partnerships with extension services, conservation groups and farmer networks
- Plan and run grassroots events and represent Nofence at key conferences
- Manage event training, operations and logistics
- Identify, recruit and onboard producer ambassadors
- Keep ambassadors connected, inspired and engaged
- Serve as the main point of contact for ambassadors and manage program operations
- Use business data to identify community-building priorities
- Track community health and provide actionable producer feedback to internal teams
- Connect producers with nearby and like-minded Nofence users
- Support producer-hosted gatherings and shape the online community
- Collaborate with growth, sales, marketing, customer success and product teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- Background in grassroots organizing or a related field
- Practical experience counts as much as formal qualifications
- Experience working directly with farmers, ranchers and/or rural communities
- Strong organizational skills and comfort with data
- Strong event organizing skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially using social media
- Proactive, self-directed work style
- Comfort with travel, including farm visits, events and team gatherings
- Experience with CRM tools, HubSpot preferred
- Experience with Google Workspace and basic data tracking
- Knowledge of agriculture and livestock production
- Experience building or managing ambassador, affiliate or referral programs
- Experience growing or moderating an online community, forum or group
