About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Configure and maintain customer networks using Nokia software and devices
Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical problems related to customer network deployment
Analyze solution definition, requirements development, and network architecture
Provide input into system development design, including interface specifications, data migration methods of procedure, failure mode analysis, capacity guidelines, and performance analysis
Develop configuration templates for software and hardware, network capacity, network traffic control, and resource performance
Assist customers with network system element integration
Customize documentation and perform software updates
Establish and validate connectivity to network and element management systems
Test alarms, timing and synchronization, redundancy, call flows, services, and customer- or country-specific requirements
Ensure voice, data, and video traffic passes testing for customer acceptance and sign-off
Provide measurable input into new products, processes, standards, or operational plans
Analyze, develop, and implement concepts and solutions as a subject matter expert

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electronics Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, or a related field, plus 6 years of related work experience, including 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressive related work experience; alternatively, a Master’s degree in one of these fields plus 4 years of related work experience
3 years of experience using GPON and XGS-PON
3 years of experience using Layer 2 and Layer 3 network protocols
3 years of experience facilitating IPTV video service delivery
3 years of experience performing network engineering and design
3 years of experience performing network integration
3 years of experience performing system integration testing
3 years of experience using network element management systems
3 years of Software Defined Access Networks (SDAN) experience, including configuration and migration
Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience
Telecommuting permitted up to 100% from anywhere in the U.S.
Domestic travel required up to 50%
International travel required up to 5%
Must have legal right to work in the U.S. if offered employment
