About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead and manage complex Optical Transport Network projects through design, integration, testing, commissioning, and customer handover
Deliver end-to-end optical transport solutions using Nokia and Infinera platforms
Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, field engineers, and customer teams
Provide technical leadership and expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle
Configure, integrate, and troubleshoot DWDM, OTN, ROADM, Ethernet over Optical, and Optical Line Systems
Develop, review, and maintain HLDs, LLDs, MOPs, BoQs, and network diagrams
Perform network integration, validation, performance testing, and acceptance activities
Provide advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for optical, service, configuration, and management connectivity issues
Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, risk management, and project alignment
Represent Nokia’s technical expertise in customer meetings, technical reviews, audits, and acceptance testing

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
8-14 years of relevant experience in optical transport network deployment and integration
Strong hands-on experience with Nokia and/or Infinera optical platforms
Proven record of delivering large-scale telecom transport network projects
Good understanding of IP networking concepts, including IP addressing, VLANs, routing protocols, and network management connectivity
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel as required
Japanese or Chinese language proficiency is preferred
Relevant telecom/optical networking certifications are an advantage
