About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform requirement analysis and feasibility studies
- Define HW architecture and select relevant technologies/components
- Develop hardware and produce detailed technical designs
- Conduct HW unit testing and qualification, including reporting
- Report and track HW project status
- Manage HW configuration
- Pre-integrate HW at system level, including modem and RF parts
- Contribute to process improvement and innovation
- Develop digital hardware for Nokia Wavence microwave transport solutions, including modems, Ethernet switches, microcontrollers, and power supply circuits
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering or any related field
- Deep theoretical knowledge of techniques/technologies related to electronic domains
- Solid background in maths and physics from engineering university courses
- Experience using test equipment such as Ethernet tester, power supply, and oscilloscopes
- Knowledge of digital components such as Ethernet switches, memories, modems, and microprocessors
- Experience in HW design and product life cycle
- Knowledge of schematic capture tools such as Mentor or similar
- Fluent spoken and written English and Italian
- Knowledge of active devices and electronic system thermal management (nice to have)
- Knowledge in analog circuit design, linear and non-linear (nice to have)
- Knowledge of modulation and demodulation theory, QAM signals (nice to have)
- Experience using spectrum analyzers and TDR (nice to have)
- Knowledge of ADS, CST, and SPICE simulators (nice to have)
