About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead Nokia's Product Compliance test laboratory in Italy
Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and quality systems
Develop quality policy and documentation complying with ISO/IEC 17025
Define and maintain product-compliance process documents for the ISO 9000/TL 9000 quality system
Manage operating costs and capital expenditures
Enforce health and safety policies for laboratory staff
Manage and develop a team of technicians
Define test setups, test plans, reference standards, compliance classes, and failure improvements
Define and coordinate product compliance plans and tests with stakeholders
Provide technical support to R&D and PLM teams on ICT compliance requirements, standards, and regulations
Support the Environmental, Sustainability and Governance team on sustainability aspects linked to product compliance
Manage standardization activities in ETSI, IEC, ITU-T, and CENELEC
Troubleshoot laboratory operational issues, including equipment malfunctions, test delays, and worker safety issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

Master's degree in a scientific discipline with hardware development background
Proven experience with test laboratory management
Good knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety protocols
Good knowledge of quality systems for test laboratories according to IEC/ISO 17025
Knowledge of ISO9000/TL9000 aspects relevant to product compliance
Background in laboratory testing including electromagnetic compatibility, safety, environmental, power supply interface, resistibility, and acoustic tests
Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations for ICT equipment
Knowledge of electronics circuit design for determining improvement actions
Experience in standardization organizations for ICT equipment
Good knowledge of sustainability aspects and standards for ICTs
Experience with budget management and financial planning (nice to have)
Leadership in standardization organizations for ICT product compliance standards (nice to have)
