About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the end-to-end architecture and technical roadmap for the Fabrinet plant network
- Assess the current environment and define a phased modernization plan
- Design and implement highly available LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, internet, DNS/DHCP, firewall, remote-access, and load-balancing solutions
- Develop secure IT/OT network segmentation and connectivity patterns
- Lead network implementation, migration, validation, and cutover activities with minimal production impact
- Establish redundancy, failover, backup, recovery, and capacity measures
- Own major and priority incidents through resolution
- Perform root-cause and problem analysis and eliminate recurring weaknesses
- Plan and execute requests and changes according to ITIL, security, testing, approval, rollback, and maintenance-window requirements
- Implement proactive monitoring, alerting, performance management, configuration control, and reporting
- Define and enforce network security standards and remediate vulnerabilities and compliance gaps
- Coordinate with manufacturing, cybersecurity, application, infrastructure, facilities, and global network teams
- Manage technical engagement with OEMs, carriers, service providers, and L4 engineering teams
- Maintain architecture diagrams, configurations, operational procedures, handover documents, asset records, and management reports
- Work flexible hours when required by business and operational demands
- Provide technical leadership, mentor support teams, and identify automation and emerging technologies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or engineering degree in Telecommunications, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- More than 5+ years of experience managing complex and business-critical network environments
- Experience designing and modernizing network architecture for manufacturing plants or other highly available operational environments
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, SD-WAN, enterprise wireless, firewalls, remote access, virtualization, load balancers, and network management platforms
- Understanding of IT/OT segmentation, high-availability design, redundancy, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and secure plant connectivity
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ARP, STP, trunking, port channels, VRF, OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, VRRP, QoS, multicast, MPLS, IPsec, and TLS
- Hands-on experience with FortiGate and Palo Alto firewalls
- Strong diagnostic and root-cause analysis skills with monitoring, packet analysis, logging, performance, and security tools
- Knowledge of scripting, API integration, and AI/LLM-assisted network automation
- Ability to quickly learn Nokia routers, CLI commands, and deployment practices
- Working knowledge of ITIL incident, problem, change, configuration, and service-management processes
- Excellent English communication, stakeholder-management, and technical-leadership skills
- Ability to work in a global multicultural environment
- Zscaler SASE experience and relevant network or security certifications are highly desirable
