About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work as a thermal engineer within the Electro Optics Module Design team
- Use state-of-the-art thermal and thermo-mechanical simulation tools
- Model and validate thermal and thermo-mechanical product behavior to ensure functionality and reliability
- Contribute to the whole product life cycle, including modeling, conceptual studies, design, validation, transfer to manufacturing, and monitoring fabrication results
- Collaborate with local and worldwide Hardware Design, Systems Architecture, and other teams
- Analyze, design, develop, and test products according to customer requirements
- Communicate with worldwide outside vendors to improve thermal solutions and align simulation with reality
- Apply high quality standards and participate in process and tool improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics or similar
- Experience in thermal design & stress analysis simulation
- Knowledge of state-of-the-art simulation tools used for thermal analysis & stress analysis
- Good technical background in optical telecommunications
- Analytical mindset solving problems
- Eager to learn and increase knowledge in optical technologies and products
- Very good social competencies and communication skills to work with colleagues from different teams and countries and external partner companies
- Capability to work independently and self-organized
- Flexibility and capability to cope with pressure
- Fluent English in written and verbal form (must-have)
- Fluent German in written and verbal form (nice-to-have)
