About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services
  • Build and support microservice architectures using Spring Boot
  • Deliver high-quality, secure, and maintainable code
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine to moderately complex technical issues
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Contribute to solution design and technical implementation activities
  • Apply Test-Driven Development practices
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, testers, and product stakeholders
  • Support deployment and operation of applications within cloud-based environments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Commercial experience developing applications using Java (JDK 11+)
  • Experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of WebLogic Server and CAS SDK
  • Experience working within AWS or other public cloud environments
  • Understanding of container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD)
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Testing practices
  • Experience working in Scrum/Agile delivery environments
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and collaborative working abilities
  • Ability to manage own workload and deliver assigned tasks effectively
  • Sound judgement within defined parameters and willingness to seek support when appropriate
  • Passion for software engineering and continuous learning
  • Ability to contribute to technical discussions and support solution design and implementation
