About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor daily and weekly exposures across trading books, tracking counterparty, issuer, and sector risks against risk limits
  • Analyze credit risk metrics and flag anomalies
  • Manage limits and excesses by product, counterparty, and country, escalating breaches according to protocols
  • Prepare senior management presentations on credit risk metrics and ad-hoc analysis
  • Create regulatory reports for PRA, HK SFC, MAS, and other regulatory processes
  • Prepare reports for multi-divisional forums
  • Drive the data management strategy for Credit Risk Infrastructure and help develop data architecture
  • Provide ad-hoc risk views and drill-down analysis of less transparent risks and issues important to senior management
  • Identify process inefficiencies and propose automation and tools
  • Collaborate with IT to streamline workflows and develop risk and compliance tools
  • Ensure compliance with MAS, HK SFC, JFSA, Dodd-Frank, and other global/regional regulations
  • Track issues, monitor remediation, and perform governance reviews of analyst processes
  • Maintain policies, procedures, escalation paths, and training materials
  • Resolve audit findings and perform reconciliations to validate data accuracy

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum degree from a university
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a credit risk infrastructure function within a financial institution, focused on credit risk monitoring, analysis, and reporting
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience preparing regulatory reports such as PRA/HK SFC and MAS reports, senior management decks on credit metrics, and ad-hoc analysis
  • Experience with credit risk fundamentals and exposure metrics, including peak exposure, current exposure, stress current exposure, and wrong way risk
  • Experience with financial products including derivatives, FX, OTC, credit derivatives, equities, structured products, lending, and credit
  • Strong analytical skills, with expertise in exotic products pricing and associated risks
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Intellectual curiosity and a deep passion for financial markets
  • Programming skills such as Python, VBA, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau
