About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform financial analysis, valuation, due diligence coordination, and process management
  • Interact with client deal teams
  • Coordinate and work with product, geography, and industry teams
  • Work on sell-side M&A, buy-side M&A, equity raising, and leveraged buyout transactions
  • Engage broadly with M&A, Leveraged Finance, Financial Sponsors, DCM, Structured and Risk Solutions teams, including IR and FX derivatives
  • Manage teams to deliver client needs
  • Contribute to Nomura’s Greentech Industrials & Infrastructure team, focusing particularly on Energy Transition and Transport

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven background in Corporate Finance from an investment bank, boutique advisory firm, or Corporate Finance, Modelling and Valuation, or Transaction Services group of a Big 4 accounting firm
  • Previous experience in Energy Transition, Transport, or other infrastructure-like sectors
  • Excellent financial modelling experience, including operating models, merger models, LBOs, and DDM
  • Ability to create complex infrastructure models from scratch
  • Experience in buy-side and sell-side M&A
  • Ability to manage teams to deliver to client needs
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact confidently with banking professionals and clients
  • Outstanding analytical skills, including valuation and leverage analysis across power and infrastructure sub-verticals
  • Experience working in a project-based environment with tight deadlines
  • Strong academic record
  • Fluency in a European language is desirable
  • Must have or obtain the right to work in the UK; overseas workers may require a Tier 2 Skilled Worker visa
