About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and maintain the eCommerce frontend in Next.js and TypeScript
Integrate with Centra headless eCommerce platform and Sanity CMS
Design and own the agentic development setup, including context files, custom commands, skills, hooks, subagents, MCP servers and guardrails
Build AI pipelines and internal agents to streamline organizational processes
Connect models to business systems through well-designed tools
Write specifications, tests and evaluations to make agent output verifiable
Review AI-generated code for correctness, security and performance
Set up agentic CI/CD flows, including automated code review, test generation and background agents
Optimize application performance for an exceptional user experience
Improve how the tech team and wider company work with AI
Contribute to the technical roadmap and align it with the company’s long-term strategy and vision

Requirements

What you’ll need

Mid-level to senior engineer with 5+ years of experience building production software
Experience ideally building high-performing eCommerce applications
Fully embraced agentic development and agentic-first workflows
Experience with Claude Code since its research preview in early 2025
Hands-on experience setting up agent harnesses, tools and flows
Experience with context engineering, tool and MCP server design, subagent and multi-agent orchestration, evals and human-in-the-loop checkpoints
Ability to evaluate AI output and identify confidently incorrect results
Ability to break problems down and describe them precisely for agents
Proficiency in TypeScript, React, Next.js, RESTful APIs and GraphQL integrations
Comfortable working directly with LLM APIs
Ability to adapt as requirements and models change
Excellent English communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with a team
Plus: production AI feature experience
Plus: good eye for UX and UI design
Plus: business-oriented understanding of true customer value
