About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Meet revenue and gross margin targets for the territory and contribute to managing regional SG&A
- Manage global aspects of Strategic Partner Accounts
- Develop and execute overall territory strategy and ensure effective product introduction
- Manage sales channels to ensure customer reach and comprehensive representation of all product lines
- Coordinate service strategy with Technical Service management while maintaining account relationship ownership
- Manage commercial opportunities for indirect and direct accounts, including lead qualification, sales presentations, demonstrations, quotations, closing sales, and ongoing customer relationship management
- Manage customer activities in the Customer Relationship Management system
- Represent the voice of the customer to the broader organization and identify and drive process changes
- Exercise broad judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions and meet customer commitments
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in managing sales channel and direct sales for capital equipment required
- 5+ years’ experience in a commercial role with a demonstrated history of successful customer negotiations using value added sales techniques
- Experience from the electronic industry preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required
- History of being a self-motivated team player
- Refined problem-solving skills and experience resolving complicated transactional process problems
- Proven commitment to process improvement
- Ability to manage daily tasks and multitask
- Ability to bring positive change; detail oriented; leading by example
- Must be able to travel 35–75% of the time
- Experience presenting technical papers to large groups
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodation where applicable
- Ability to sit regularly; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms
- Close vision ability
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 35–75% of the time
