About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes for assigned entities
Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and internal control requirements, including audits, financial policies and SOPs
Review balance sheet reconciliations, financial results and working capital analysis
Identify and resolve accounting issues proactively
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processes, controls, systems and accounting practices
Coach and support an Assistant Accountant
Collaborate with finance stakeholders to deliver business objectives
Partner with Group Reporting, FP&R and Finance Business Partnering teams
Report to the Head of Operational Accounting

Requirements

What you’ll need

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Strong financial accounting and statutory reporting experience, including preparation of financial statements
Proven experience managing month-end close processes, audits and compliance within a complex international environment
Strong understanding of financial controls, balance sheet management, intercompany accounting, inventory and reporting standards
Experience leading process improvement initiatives and driving operational efficiencies
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and people development skills
