About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Advance the multiplayer agentic harness for collaboration among humans, agents, firm systems, and clients
- Design multi-agent workflows using orchestration and actor models
- Build shared task and state management across agents, attorneys, clients, and firm systems
- Improve agents through computer use and integrations with professional-services software
- Capture expert delegation, correction, and review interactions as learning signals
- Build memory and continual learning systems
- Improve evaluation frameworks measuring quality, cost, time, and human effort
- Build collaborative interfaces for document review, alternative comparison, and exception resolution
- Define delegation, monitoring, input-request, and approval workflows
- Provide firm leaders with live operational views of priorities, ownership, dependencies, and progress
- Engineer permissions, confidentiality controls, audit trails, secure execution, and reliable recovery
- Apply legal precedent and general capabilities to due diligence, cap table reconciliation, and transactional document review
- Connect clients to attorneys and agents through portals and shared workspaces
- Advance engineering practices through coding agents and measurement of delivery speed and software quality
- Conduct AI research grounded in professional work, publish findings, and contribute to the research community
Requirements
What you’ll need- Fluency in AI and active day-to-day use of AI to support thinking, creation, and problem-solving
- Ability to demonstrate and discuss concrete AI tools, workflows, and outcomes during interviews
- Practical, hands-on AI experience rather than theoretical familiarity
- Legal authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Must be located in New York City
- Experience or capability in multi-agent workflow design, orchestration, and actor models
- Experience building task and state management systems
- Experience with computer use and deep software integrations
- Experience building memory and continual learning systems
- Experience with agent evaluation frameworks and economic outcome measurement
- Experience engineering permissions, confidentiality controls, audit trails, secure execution, and reliable recovery
- Interest or experience conducting novel AI research, publishing findings, and contributing through collaboration and conference talks
