About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide quality technical support and engineering for development, maintenance, training, and product services across Normet’s underground electric and mechanical fleet
- Resolve complex Normet product issues and support internal and external stakeholders in mining and tunnelling applications
- Analyze, recommend changes to, and update electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and parts drawings and technical documents
- Serve as subject matter expert on the Normet fleet, software, digital applications, document libraries, and product platforms
- Provide technical support and training to end users, operators, and service personnel
- Provide technical feedback to factories to improve equipment and operations
- Support root cause analysis, report writing, and Normet quality management systems
- Support predictive operating cost models and recommended parts requirements
- Lead local product improvement testing and implementation
- Support warranty investigations as a technical advisor
- Assist with equipment installations and demonstrations
- Create customized training materials for specific applications
- Conduct customer visits, localized training sessions, and presentations
- Assist customers with parts interpretations, maintenance troubleshooting, and factory feedback
- Support risk assessments, incident investigations, legislative safety specifications, and HSEQ documentation in North America
- Contribute to sales and service teams across North America
- Travel occasionally or frequently for extended periods to underground mine sites in North America
Requirements
What you’ll need- Maintenance professional with a technical degree or equivalent certification
- Engineering professional within electrical, mechanical, industrial, or hydraulic discipline
- More than 7 years of underground mining heavy equipment maintenance experience
- Understanding and knowledge of underground mining and blasting operations
- Existing legal work authorization for the country applying to the role
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- High level of written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Facilitator skills in a classroom setting
- Self-motivated in ambiguous situations
- Strong investigation and diagnostic skills
- High level of competency with computer software and hardware
- Blasting and concrete operational awareness
- High responsiveness, organization skills, and detail orientation
- Ability to travel frequently and for extended periods to underground mine sites in North America
- Ability to retain existing industry certifications and acquire updates and advancement where applicable
- Ability to wear task-relevant PPE and comply with safety policies, procedures, work practices, and SOPs

Comp & perks- Weekend or longer hours dependent on project scope deliverables will be compensated accordingly
- Normal work week Monday–Friday, 40 hours
