About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Receive incoming raw materials and cardboard and verify shipments against packing lists, purchase orders, and receiving documentation
Inspect incoming materials for visible damage, discrepancies, or other issues and communicate concerns
Clean aluminum billets as required to meet quality and production standards
Organize, stage, identify, and maintain raw material inventory in the yard
Safely load scrap materials onto designated trucks using forklifts and other material handling equipment
Conduct routine scrap inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory records
Enter receiving information into computer systems and maintain organized shipment records
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment to unload, transport, organize, and stage materials and supplies
Respond to driver inquiries and provide directions and information
Maintain the billet yard, cardboard warehouse, and surrounding areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition according to 5S standards
Perform duties according to standard methods, HSE, quality, productivity, safety, and company requirements
Support packing or other areas as needed and perform related duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Passing Forklift exam based on internal requirements
Strong Mathematics Skills
Strong typing and PC Skills, including data entry, word processing, and Excel spreadsheet skills
Basic knowledge of shipping procedures
Excellent Attention to Detail
Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Knowledge of process related standards
Proven ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external team members
Ability to adhere to HSE, quality, productivity, safety, and company policy requirements
