About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform inspection of all equipment in the welded tube area, including cranes, annealer and coiler
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
Use jib crane or overhead crane to handle coils
Ensure produced material conforms to specifications and tolerances
Use micrometers, tape measures and calipers to measure tube and coil dimensions
Operate hoists/cranes to remove material from the coiler
Keep WIP warehouse areas clean and organized
MRT material found out of specification
Set up, adjust and monitor in-line annealing, purging and marking systems
Pack material according to procedures and instructions
Take breaks outside production downtime
Perform related duties to maintain workflow or respond to emergency conditions
Adhere to company policies and procedures
Maintain a clean and orderly work area according to 5S standards
Perform duties in accordance with HSE, quality and productivity requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to handle basic math
Ability to use measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers and tape measure, where interpretation is required
Ability to operate a jib crane, overhead crane, and electric pallet jacks
Ability to read and interpret simple reference material such as printed instructions and blueprints
Excellent mental and visual attention to monitor operations involving repetitive or diversified work requiring constant alertness or activity
Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Knowledge of process related standards
Proven ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external team members
