About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Inspect all equipment in the welded tube area, including cranes, annealer, and coiler
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment
Handle coils using jib cranes or overhead cranes
Ensure produced material conforms to specifications and tolerances, including level wind and OD
Measure tube OD, coil OD, and ID using micrometers, tape measures, calipers, and other tools
Operate hoists and cranes to remove material from the coiler in a time-sensitive manner
Keep WIP warehouse areas clean and organized
MRT material found to be out of specification
Set up, adjust, and monitor the in-line annealing system
Pack material according to procedures and instructions
Set up, adjust, and monitor purging and marking systems
Take breaks outside production downtime, including profile change-outs and set changes
Perform related duties to maintain workflow or respond to emergency conditions
Adhere to company policies and procedures
Maintain a clean and orderly work area according to 5S standards

Requirements

What you’ll need

Ability to handle basic math
Ability to use measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and tape measure, where interpretation is required
Ability to operate a jib crane, overhead crane, and electric pallet jacks
Ability to read and interpret simple reference material, including printed instructions and blueprints
Excellent mental and visual attention for monitoring repetitive or diversified operations
Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Knowledge of process-related standards
Proven ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external team members
Ability to perform duties in accordance with HSE, quality, and productivity requirements
