About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate the saw safely and efficiently while maintaining quality cuts and troubleshooting common issues
- Operate stretching equipment according to order specifications
- Monitor material quality using micrometers, calipers, straight edges, and gauges
- Inspect material for squareness, flatness, bow, gauge, and other work-instruction specifications
- Perform simple maintenance to support saw performance
- Maintain a clean, safe work area
- Provide backup support to the Press Operator and Head Stretcher
- Complete cross-training on the Press Operator and Head Stretcher positions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 6 months of manufacturing, machine repair, or production experience
- Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
- Previous machine operation experience
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and process sheets
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Experience using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, or straight edges
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to safely operate production equipment and follow established safety procedures
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods and frequent lifting of 5–25 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 70 lbs.
- New hires must be available to work any of the three shifts based on business needs
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
