About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate forklifts and cranes
- Move logs into the log yard as required, keeping the log yard organized and segregated
- Stamp and color-code logs properly to ensure correct identification and alloy segregation
- Perform ultrasonic testing to detect cracks in logs
- Monitor furnaces to ensure homogenizer cycles are carried out correctly
- Maintain furnace, homogenizer, and casting records
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Must be able to understand and deliver basic commands in English
- Must be able to use and maintain all basic tools and measuring equipment pertinent to the position
