About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop organizational competency through needs assessments, workforce planning, targeted training programs, change management techniques, performance management initiatives, and performance evaluation monitoring
- Manage the local compensation program, including conducting wage surveys
- Support key HR initiatives to position Hydro as a preferred employer
- Manage all plant-level recruitment, including strategies to increase engagement and minimize turnover
- Develop and maintain onboarding, new-employee orientation, career-path and succession programs
- Conduct employee relations counseling, stay interviews, and exit interviews
- Monitor organizational climate and provide HR consultation to the operational director and plant management team
- Maintain and update role descriptions in INOSA
- Establish and maintain department records and reports, including organizational charts and employee directory
- Ensure accurate records for insurance coverage, retirement plans, and personnel transactions
- Represent and/or conduct hearings and investigations for the Company in HR-related matters
- Ensure consistent administration of human resources policies and programs
- Participate in management team meetings and other required meetings
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and Hydro laws and regulations
- Live Hydro Values of CARE, COURAGE, and COLLABORATION in business interactions
- Lead company initiatives related to social responsibility and local community engagement
- Serve as local ambassador for Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging and anti-discrimination and harassment programs
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or related field
- At least 5 years of human resource management experience
- HR experience in a manufacturing environment
- PHR and/or SHRM-SCP credential preferred
