About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Process and resolve incidents and service requests as part of local IT support
Install, configure and maintain IT workstations, hardware, software and local infrastructure components
Analyze and resolve hardware, software, infrastructure and application issues
Monitor and maintain site-specific IT infrastructure and applications
Collaborate with regional and global IT support and expert teams
Administer Active Directory and support user and access rights management
Contribute to local, cross-site and global IT projects, as well as IT change processes
Ensure compliance with Hydro’s global IT security, architecture and operational standards
Create and maintain IT documentation within the assigned area of responsibility
Advise and support local departments on IT-related matters
Support other Hydro sites as required, both remotely and on site

Requirements

What you’ll need

Successfully completed vocational training in IT or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in IT support or an IT infrastructure environment
Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows client and server environments, as well as Microsoft 365
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy and basic networking technologies
Experience in client, software and endpoint management
Knowledge of LAN/WLAN, network components and VLANs is an advantage
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an advantage
Basic knowledge of ITIL or IT service management is desirable
Good written and spoken German and English skills
Independent, structured and solution-oriented approach to work
Strong customer-service orientation, communication skills and ability to work in a team
Willingness to support other Hydro sites and undertake occasional business travel as required
Willingness to pursue continuous professional development
