About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Accountable for health, safety, and environmental aspects related to the position
Follow Standardized Work and Work Instructions
Identify product defects and communicate with leaders
Operate equipment and assist with maintaining proper equipment lubrication levels
Enter appropriate AS 400 transactions
Communicate effectively with Maintenance regarding equipment issues
Communicate effectively at shift transition
Maintain operator care and housekeeping standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Efficiently operate all fabrication equipment to meet customer demand

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
Metal working using precision instruments to produce tight tolerance products
Ability to understand basic English instructions and effectively communicate regarding safety, quality, and production requirements
Quality inspection experience
Experience operating production equipment, punch presses, saws or CNC machines
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, or engineering specifications
Fabrication experience preferred
Basic computer skills
