About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Direct and assist in installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools, and equipment
  • Execute work priorities for team members based on production demands and needs
  • Direct team members on scheduling repairs, maintenance, and installation
  • Support product development and improvements
  • Assist in designing, implementing, and modifying preventative maintenance programs
  • Resolve maintenance problems by conferring with management, engineering, and quality
  • Oversee, direct, and schedule maintenance team and activities according to the manufacturing schedule
  • Ensure preventative maintenance completion, team-member training, and adherence to safety measures
  • Troubleshoot, perform root-cause analysis, repair, rebuild, and/or replace manufacturing and facilities equipment and systems
  • Develop technical capabilities and skills of less experienced team members
  • Update SOPs and work instructions
  • Complete paperwork, including work orders, accurately
  • Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, spare parts, and other equipment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 to 5+ years of mechanical or electrical maintenance in a heavy industrial or foundry environment
  • Often with prior leadership experience
  • H.S. Diploma
  • Strong technical understanding across electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Ability to learn and utilize CMMS, Oracle, and other relevant software
  • Preferred knowledge of extrusion equipment and processes
