About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, coach, and develop a team of fabrication professionals, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Oversee production and manufacturing operations within the Fabrication Department of approximately 150+ employees
- Plan and execute production schedules to meet customer requirements while optimizing labor, equipment, and materials
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, procurement, and other departments to improve workflows and efficiency
- Ensure adherence to quality standards by monitoring output, conducting inspections, and driving corrective actions
- Identify and implement process improvements, including Lean initiatives, to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Promote and enforce safety standards and regulatory and company requirements
- Track and report key performance metrics, maintain accurate production records, and provide insights to leadership
- Lead development and implementation of new or enhanced production processes for cost-effective, high-quality mass production
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fabrication or manufacturing environments
- Minimum of 5 years of leadership or managerial experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field and/or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated leadership and team development capabilities
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, equipment, and materials
- Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Experience implementing safety programs and quality control systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience optimizing plant layout and manufacturing flow
- Knowledge of production sequencing and tooling design processes
- Familiarity with process testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams on product and process design
- Understanding of regulatory compliance in manufacturing environments
