About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform machine set-ups and changeovers on production equipment to support manufacturing schedules and quality standards.
  • Inspect and verify first-piece production using blueprints, specifications, gauges, and measuring equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, making adjustments to maintain productivity and product quality.
  • Train and support machine operators on set-up requirements, work instructions, and quality checks.
  • Complete and maintain accurate production, inspection, and set-up documentation.
  • Conduct equipment inspections and report any safety, quality, or maintenance concerns.
  • Follow all safety procedures and support continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 1 year of machine set-up, machine operation, maintenance, tooling, or related manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and production documentation.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet the physical requirements of a manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred: Machine set-up experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred: Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality inspection techniques.
  • Preferred: Experience with tooling, dies, fixtures, and preventive maintenance activities.
  • Preferred: Forklift and/or overhead crane operation experience.
  • Preferred: Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Preferred: Experience training or supporting machine operators.
