About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Operate stretcher equipment using blocks and plugs to stretch and straighten aluminum extrusions to required specifications and dimensions
- Inspect extrusions to ensure proper stretch set-up and quality standards are met throughout the process
- Transfer finished metal extrusions to saw storage tables and support material flow within the department
- Follow all work instructions, safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and department job safety analyses (JSAs)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through housekeeping and 5S practices
- Participate in daily safety meetings, report unsafe conditions, and contribute to a strong safety culture
- Collaborate with team members and perform additional duties as assigned to support production goals
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to understand and communicate basic instructions in English
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures
- Ability to use and maintain basic tools and measuring equipment relevant to the position
- Must be able to work safely in a manufacturing environment
- No previous experience required; training will be provided
- Previous manufacturing, production, or industrial work experience (preferred)
- Familiarity with measuring tools and basic quality inspection processes (preferred)
- Experience working in a safety-focused environment (preferred)
- Knowledge of 5S, housekeeping standards, or continuous improvement practices (preferred)
