About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the Operations team in developing, sourcing, and reporting key operational metrics and data analysis
- Perform research, analysis, and reporting on data related to new initiatives
- Assist with finance and business planning functions, including routine analysis, reporting, budgeting, and resource support
- Develop and monitor operational performance forecasts and recommend solutions based on analyses
- Incorporate data from multiple internal and external sources and communicate results to leadership
- Manage individual provider issues and requests for facility and provider productivity data
- Respond to custom requests for support and analysis on new metrics, projects, and initiatives
- Review accounting month close, accruals, payroll, and billing processes
- Prepare and assist with P&L statements and maintain a monthly dashboard of key operational performance indicators
- Reconcile monthly financial performance against budget
- Prepare monthly financial and statistical reports and present findings to senior leadership
- Act as a liaison between administration, hospital departments, and anesthesia practices
- Source, test, and report key operational metrics
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify project requirements, analyze operations, determine scope, and document results
- Translate quantitative analysis into practical operational recommendations
- Assess drivers of facility financial performance and identify strategies to resolve variances
- Perform troubleshooting and root cause analyses, create solutions, and implement action plans
- Provide support and guidance regarding operational efficiency
- Promote NorthStar Anesthesia's core values
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare, Economics or related field is required
- 1-3 years' experience in financial planning, business operations, or financial reporting is strongly preferred
- Healthcare experience is a plus
- Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to understand key issues, operations, and synthesize complex information to communicate to various audiences
- Ability to work on various assignments simultaneously
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely across multiple levels within the company
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all provider information and company documents
