About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, develop and support applications and solutions using Visual Studio, the .NET platform and SQL Server
- Develop and maintain applications using C#, SQL, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and other web technologies
- Develop web services, microservices and API integrations using Web API, SOAP, REST and related technologies
- Integrate web applications and solutions with Microsoft SharePoint and Office 365
- Design and develop ETL solutions using SSIS and SQL Server
- Write technical specifications and maintain architecture, design and data-flow diagrams using Microsoft Visio or equivalent tools
- Assess business needs with internal customers and collaborate with teams to design solutions
- Provide application maintenance, troubleshooting and Tier 2 support
- Follow PMO governance and Change Management processes
- Lead requirements gathering, analysis and application design for medium and large projects
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle
- Embed information/application security and regulatory requirements in the SDLC
- Recommend technology-stack and best-practice improvements
- Develop and execute plans to install new software and custom changes
- Work with Tier 1 support teams and complete project requests
- Accept mentorship from lead developers and mentor Application Developer I and II
- Ensure compliance with company policies and Federal/State regulations
- Navigate Microsoft Office and department-specific software
- Work as part of a team and with on-site equipment
- Follow safety and loss-prevention procedures and report injuries or emergencies
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (Software Development track) or Engineering with a concentration in programming AND 6 years relevant work experience, OR Master's Degree in the same fields AND 5 years equivalent work experience
- 5–6 years of professional application development experience using the Microsoft technology stack (e.g. .NET, C#, SQL Server) or equivalent technologies and toolsets
- 3–5 years developing web applications using ASP.NET, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and other web technologies
- 2–3 years writing SQL statements for relational database management systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL
- Ability to develop applications and solutions using C#, SQL or equivalent programming languages
- Ability to create ETL solutions using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or equivalent technologies
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming, relational data models, data warehouses and data marts
- Knowledge of JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as Angular, React and jQuery
- Knowledge of agile environments and exposure to Kanban/Scrum
- Knowledge of source code repositories such as TFS, GitHub and SVN
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services or another cloud ecosystem
- Skill in incorporating information/application security best practices into development
- Ability to work within a team environment and lead projects
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer (MCSD), or another relevant certification such as MCSE or Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect, to be obtained within 1 year
- Ability to comply with company policies, procedures and Federal/State regulations
- Ability to work with on-site equipment
