About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead annual organizational compliance assessments and translate findings into annual work plans
  • Coordinate Compliance Committee and Board reporting
  • Formulate and manage compliance audit frameworks targeting clinical workflows, high-risk regulatory areas, and technology/AI deployments
  • Oversee hotline intake and lead impartial investigations
  • Conduct root-cause analyses and partner with HR and operational leaders to implement corrective action plans
  • Drive targeted compliance training for the medical group and build a speak-up culture rooted in non-retaliation
  • Align compliance activities and shared learning initiatives with partner medical groups across the national Permanente federation
  • Provide direct people leadership, mentorship, and operational oversight to compliance staff
  • Drive accountability, skill development, and high-impact execution

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, health law, public policy, or a directly related field
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive healthcare compliance, audit, or regulatory experience
  • Five (5) years direct leadership experience or program oversight in a complex healthcare delivery environment
  • Deep mastery of the OIG Seven Elements and fraud/waste/abuse statutes
  • CHC, CCEP, or CHPC certification, or ability to obtain within 12 months
  • Proven capability in designing risk assessments, executive dashboards, and audit methodologies
  • Excellent consultative, consensus-building, and executive-level presentation skills with clinical and physician leadership
