About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support day-to-day needs of team members and practice group lawyers in executing strategic go-to-market initiatives
- Coordinate client-targeted marketing materials, including bids/RFPs, client development presentations, publications, client value reports, and relationship statements
- Assist with identifying and developing opportunities with target clients and client teams
- Monitor strategic actions and lead follow-up efforts
- Plan, implement, and report on conferences, sponsorships, client presentations, seminars, retreats, dinners, and other promotional events
- Draft and coordinate legal directory and practice/industry survey submissions
- Coordinate development and publicity of outcomes and thought leadership, including client alerts and articles
- Manage production of newsletters, blogs, client alerts, and other external communications
- Maintain marketing collateral, experience lists, and related materials for accuracy and brand consistency
- Develop and distribute internal communications and prepare talking points
- Manage marketing communications channels, including social media
- Track client engagement activities in the firm’s experience management system and produce bid activity reports
- Manage production of internal training and development presentations
- Conduct or oversee research projects, such as company relationship information and executive profiles
- Maintain marketing mailings and lists in the CRM system
- Update US and relevant global intranet content
- Process check requests, invoices, and arrangements supporting marketing activities
- Coordinate resources and materials for internal team meetings
- Assist with lateral integration and onboarding
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree required and minimum of five years of professional experience
- In lieu of bachelor’s degree, minimum of nine years of professional experience
- Minimum of two years of law firm, professional services, or marketing business development experience preferred
- Understanding of marketing and business development concepts
- Awareness of subject matter for practice teams is a plus
- Ability to learn and integrate firm resources and technologies according to best practices
- Comfortable interacting and collaborating with lawyers, professionals, and staff
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, hybrid/remote environment
- Detail-oriented and highly organized; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deal with ambiguity
- Willingness to take on additional responsibility, assist with onboarding, advocate best practices, and engage with other teams on internal firm projects
- Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including direct experience with PowerPoint and advanced functions within Excel
- Experience with CRM and management systems is a plus
- Uphold and demonstrate business principles of quality, unity, and integrity
- Overtime and flexibility in schedule may be required from time to time
