About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the full sales cycle for new logo acquisition across an assigned North American territory, from first outreach through signed contract
  • Run outbound prospecting through cold calls, email, and LinkedIn
  • Collaborate with SDRs and Solutions Architects to build and maintain pipeline
  • Build relationships with technical and business stakeholders
  • Guide prospects through discovery, proof of concept, and contract negotiation
  • Develop proposals and business cases connecting ScyllaDB capabilities to customer workload challenges and cost drivers
  • Maintain accurate Salesforce pipeline data and forecasts
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual quotas
  • Partner with marketing on field events, webinars, trade shows, and account-based initiatives across North America
  • Support successful customer adoption with Customer Success
  • Retain and expand closed accounts when meaningful expansion potential exists

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Three to five years of B2B enterprise technology sales experience in the North American market
  • Track record of selling to IT, infrastructure, or platform engineering teams
  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases, open-source software, or cloud-native technologies is a strong plus
  • Consistently hit quota, with evidence such as President's Club, top performer recognition, or clear year-over-year growth numbers
  • Experience with complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles is required
  • Experience with MEDDPICC is a plus
  • Ability to learn a technical product quickly, ask effective discovery questions, and articulate ROI to technical and financial stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in Salesforce, with serious attention to data quality and forecasting accuracy
  • Experience with Outreach, Salesloft, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, Chorus, or similar tools is helpful
  • Comfortable with outbound prospecting and full-cycle hunter sales
  • Coachable and comfortable selling a solution that requires thoughtful education and is still building market recognition
