Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the next evolution of Torrens University Australia's support for students transitioning from study into careers
  • Build connected support from final year through the first 12 months after study
  • Design digital, group and personalised career services for diverse students and graduates
  • Translate contemporary hiring practices, labour-market insight and employer expectations into practical career and recruitment support
  • Track engagement, service quality and graduate outcomes, including QILT measures
  • Use evidence to continuously improve services
  • Lead the careers and graduate success function
  • Partner with Academic, Alumni, Student Experience, WIL and employer-facing teams
  • Provide career guidance, recruitment preparation and targeted graduate support
  • Help students and graduates understand career options, present skills confidently, navigate recruitment practices and progress into meaningful employment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Substantial experience across careers, employability, graduate success, student development or a comparable environment
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary recruitment practices
  • Ability to design a service model and build and deliver early programs
  • Experience using graduate outcomes, engagement data and labour-market insights to guide decisions
  • Experience with career platforms, CRM/case-management systems and responsible AI-enabled tools is valuable
  • Ability to work across Academic, professional and external stakeholder groups
  • Ability to build strong employer and industry relationships
  • Relevant degree or substantial equivalent professional experience
  • Recognised career development qualification highly desirable
  • Current Working with Children Check and police check may be required
  • Commitment to student and graduate outcomes
