About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Diagnose, repair, and maintain fuel dispensers, underground storage tanks (USTs), leak detection systems, and vapor recovery units
- Perform preventive maintenance and compliance inspections
- Respond to service calls and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner
- Maintain detailed service, inspection, and compliance records
- Support construction projects, tank testing, and permitting activities
- Travel between multiple retail locations
- Work outdoors in varying weather
- Participate in hands-on training and career development toward senior technician roles
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
- Willingness to travel between store locations
- Basic mechanical aptitude (tools, small engine repair, pumps, valves)
- Familiarity with fuel systems (dispensers, tanks, lines, or HVAC/plumbing systems)
- Electrical troubleshooting basics (multimeter use, wiring)
- Experience with maintenance or facilities work
- OSHA safety awareness or certification
- CDL or hazmat endorsement (helpful but not required)
- Technical certification or vocational training (preferred)
- Experience with Hydraulics (preferred)
- Level 1 information Technology (preferred)
- OSHA and/or HAZMAT certification (preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- On-call availability for emergency or after-hours service as needed
