About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and maintain the Quality Management System across assigned facilities
- Ensure standardization and alignment between assigned locations and Rig Technologies
- Provide strategic development and support to site Quality teams
- Conduct Management Reviews with Operational Managers from each Quality Group
- Ensure compliance with API, ISO, customer, and product requirements
- Ensure use of standardized Global technical and Quality documents, processes, Lessons Learned, and procedures
- Plan, lead, and support internal and external audits, including API, customer, and regulatory audits
- Lead process- and supplier-risk assessments
- Ensure mitigation and contingency plans are developed, maintained, and tested
- Escalate high-risk quality issues to leadership with clear data and recommendations
- Manage NCRs, CARs, and customer complaints across sites
- Monitor trends and prevent recurrence of systemic quality issues
- Interface with customers on significant quality issues when required
- Support manufacturing process control, inspection, and testing activities
- Ensure Quality Plans, routers, and associated documents are current and effective
- Establish and monitor quality KPIs, including NCR trends, COQ, audit results, and supplier performance
- Use data to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop quality talent through coaching, training, and performance management
- Promote a proactive, prevention-focused quality culture
- Reinforce accountability for quality at all organizational levels
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field or 10+ years of quality experience in oil & gas or heavy manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of API Q1 and ISO 9001
- Experience supporting or leading audits and corrective action programs
- Proven leadership experience across multiple sites or functions
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with ERP’s, data analysis and presentation tools
- CQE, CQA, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), or equivalent certification preferred
- Background in machining, welding, assembly, or pressure equipment manufacturing preferred
- Experience managing customer quality relationships preferred
