About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines that automate software builds, testing, and deployments.
- Work with developers and QA engineers to ensure smooth deployments and integrations.
- Help monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues in cloud environments.
- Learn and apply best practices for automation, version control, and containerization.
- Collaborate with the team to document processes, suggest improvements, and adopt DevOps tools.
- Research new technologies and recommend improvements to processes.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Coursework, projects, or internships involving programming or scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar).
- Knowledge of source control (Git or GitHub).
- Knowledge of basic networking and how systems communicate.
- Knowledge of cloud concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP fundamentals).
- Knowledge of databases, including writing simple queries and understanding how applications use data.
- Debugging and problem-solving experience in technical projects.
- Willingness to learn, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
- Docker basics is a plus, but not required.
- Working in a team environment through group projects, open-source contributions, or similar.
- Nice-to-have exposure to CI/CD concepts or tools, application monitoring or logging, and automation, cloud infrastructure, or system reliability; these are not required.
