About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical and design support
Interface with customers and other field technicians
Assemble and construct system assemblies
Conduct tests and debug electronic or electrical designs
Provide and/or expedite project documentation
Assist with organization and checking of documentation for new equipment
Assist in production and/or manuals for new equipment
Requisition parts and/or materials for projects
Prepare drawings and/or sketches, wire lists, and parts lists
Review and correct documentation for projects
Perform prescribed preventative maintenance and maintain PM records and reports
Repair and troubleshoot electronic, electrical, and/or mechanical equipment
Provide technical support for mill and field equipment
Program PLC and HMI
Program AC/DC drives
Perform other work-related tasks as assigned
Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies

Requirements

What you’ll need

2-year technical degree and/or experience in the related field
Good verbal and written communication skills
High level of technical ability
Ability to solve complex problems and relate technical knowledge to specific applications
Domestic and some international travel
Must be able to lift minimum 50 lbs
Must be able to stand in uncomfortable positions for some periods of time
Must be able to work in varied weather conditions
Must be comfortable getting dirty and/or working in contaminated areas
Must be comfortable working at heights/manlifts
