About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Maintain current knowledge of state and federal human resources laws and ensure compliance with employment laws and reporting.
  • Provide advice, assistance, and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Advise management on resolving employee relations issues.
  • Assist with investigations while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
  • Maintain employee records and generate ad hoc and customized data reports.
  • Organize and facilitate manager trainings.
  • Manage and support the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, development, and exit/offboarding.
  • Assist with payroll activities, including timekeeping system maintenance and pay-period close tasks, and liaise with corporate payroll.
  • Coordinate HR-related actions and changes with HR Central, including new hires, contingent workers, promotions, and job changes.
  • Perform other work-related tasks assigned by the HR Manager.
  • Comply with NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in HR or a HR related field.
  • Ability to travel within the US quarterly, or as required.
  • Preferably completed advance course work in Human Resources or Business Administration, Associate, or bachelor’s preferred.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and manage time and priorities effectively.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR best practices, laws, and regulations.
  • Practical experience addressing employee relations issues and performing thorough investigations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Background using HRIS systems to support HR operations.
  • Experience with UKG/Kronos timekeeping system highly preferred.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred.
