About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Coordinate with key stakeholders and compose internal employee communications for IT, HR, and Organizational Development
Craft communication plans about internal initiatives for varied audiences
Maintain the internal communications calendar
Translate technical information into conversational English employees can understand
Present to and train small to large audiences online and in person about IT changes and updated software, including Cybersecurity and ChatGPT
Assist with content creation for internal webpages
Develop IT onboarding information for new employees
Build brand-aligned PowerPoint presentations for IT initiatives and meetings
Create and improve phishing simulations and cybersecurity awareness education
Liaise between Knowledge Management and other shared service functions on communication needs and projects
Prioritize high-value KM tasks and implement solutions within challenging deadlines
Perform other duties as assigned by organization leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, English or other related fields
2+ years’ experience in communications or equivalent experience
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with AP style knowledge
SharePoint, Confluence and JIRA experience a plus
Ability to speak with clarity and confidence and translate technical and/or complex information into easily understood messages
Strong communication and relational skills with the ability to build trust and integrity with business partners
Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to multitask
Flexibility and adaptability to make decisions quickly
Experience thriving in dynamic environments with changing priorities, prioritization, and time management
Problem analysis and resolution, impact verification, troubleshooting, coaching, and facilitation experience
Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose problems across multiple disciplines
Strong organizational and analytical skills; detail-oriented with ability to understand impacts across multiple projects and systems
