About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive territory revenue growth and market share expansion across New Zealand
  • Execute strategic sales plans and identify new Clinical Point of Care and Blood Gas opportunities
  • Cultivate relationships with clinical stakeholders, laboratory personnel, procurement teams, and key decision-makers across the North and South Islands
  • Manage existing healthcare accounts and pursue new business opportunities
  • Maintain Salesforce CRM data, account histories, and opportunity pipelines
  • Deliver sales forecasts and business reports to regional leadership using Salesforce and Power BI
  • Use market data and Power BI insights to identify target accounts and optimize travel itineraries
  • Manage account strategies and territory planning autonomously
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on the Clinical PoC and Blood Gas product portfolio
  • Position solutions against competitor offerings and segment the market
  • Execute marketing initiatives, regional events, and cross-functional collaborations
  • Perform other duties supporting business objectives and regional growth targets

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Tertiary qualifications in a science, medical technology, or business-related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Proven sales experience in medical devices, point-of-care diagnostics, or healthcare capital equipment
  • Demonstrated territory management, self-management, business planning, and strategic execution skills
  • Deep understanding of the New Zealand healthcare system, hospital workflows, procurement processes, and clinical stakeholder management
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales analytics tools, including Salesforce and Power BI
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Minimum 3–5 years of successful B2B territory sales experience in medical devices, IVD diagnostics, or clinical equipment
  • Minimum 2 years of experience autonomously managing a large geographic territory, account planning, and field travel
  • At least 2 years of experience using Salesforce CRM or an equivalent system and data platforms such as Power BI
  • Full, unrestricted driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel across New Zealand’s North and South Islands, including up to 40–50% overnight travel
  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Science, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical industry experience
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and sit for extended periods during regional road travel
  • Ability to manage frequent domestic flights and overnight travel
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment, demonstration units, and marketing collateral weighing up to 20 kg (44 lbs)
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive computer and diagnostic-device tasks
  • Ability to frequently walk, stand, and bend in clinical, hospital, and laboratory environments
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, including lab coats, safety glasses, masks, and gloves
